Hello Dix Lee On neighbors:
Please try to attend tonight’s Fayette County Commissioner’s meeting, at 7pm est, 140, Stonewall Rd, Suite 200, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
Tonight’s meeting will honor our black elected officials who have served our community well over the years. A proclamation will be issued in their honor. Let’ show our support of these individuals by attending tonight’s meeting.

 Here’s a copy of the email sent to me last evening annoucing this event.

We have learned that at the Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday, February 9th @ 7PM, the Commissioners, led by Commissioner Rosseau, will issue a proclamation recognizing the full slate of elected Fayette County Black American Elected officials in honor of Black History month.  This will include:

Mayor Edward “Ed” Johnson, City of Fayetteville
State Representative Virgil Fludd,District 64
State Representative Ronnie Mabra Jr., District 63
Commissioner Pota Coston (Posthumous), Fayette County Commissioner
Chief Magistrate Judge Charles “Chuck” Floyd (Posthumous), Fayette County
State Senator Valencia Seay, District 34
