Election Results Update: Derrick Jackson wins State House District 64!

It’s official – Derrick Jackson Wins State House District 64 primary election. The District 64 race was Derrick Jackson all the way, with him winning over 54% of the vote, against two worthy competitors. This State House of Representative, District 64, seat was previously held by Virgll Fludd, who retired.

Congratulations Derrick!!!

As for House District 63, our two Fayetteville residents Kelli Hooper and Ken Kincaid both came up a bit short in the race that included five (5) candidates, three (3) of whom are from Fulton County. The State House District 63 consists of parts of Fulton, Fayette, and Clayton counties. Here’s a personal “Thank You” note to Kelli’s supporters from Kelli!

The District 63 race was won by Debra Bazemore (Democrat – Fulton) who will face her 2nd place opponent, Linda Pritchard (Democrat- Fulton) in a runoff in July.  This district seat was previously held by Fayetteville native, Ron Mabra.

POSTSCRIPT: As I was about to vote on May 24th at my precinct, a poller commented as follows…”We have had a lot of Dix Lee On residents to vote today”. This is a tribute to our diligence in making our voice count, and believe me, it gets noticed.
